The Dance Shoppe Presents: The Nutcracker

We had the last practice until the show. Today was our dress rehersal. It was really fun! :) Only 6 more days!!!! Advanced tickets can be purchased at David Smith's Law Office across from the funeral home on Main Street in Russell Springs. The shows are December 3,4,10 and 11! Saturday shows at 7pm and Sunday shows at 2pm! I hope everyone comes! :) Please put an answer on my poll to the right on my blog.

Tonight was a good Chinese practice, I guess. Tonight we did it with the Chinese Dragon. The Chinese Dragon is made up of about 8 girls. They are all around the age of 7! How much fun I add...

Soldier and Chinese

Today was soldier and Chinese practice. The sodlier practice was combined with the mice because they are in the same scene with us. There are only 6 mice and 10 of us! The mice are ages 6-10! We will win the battle! After that we had an one hour Chinese practice. It was fun!

Party Girl Practice

We had practice again Tuesday night. We have partners in the dance and my partner was sick so he wasn't there. There were 4 out of 6 boys there and 6 out of 6 girls there. I have practice next week also and I have soldier practice October 10th with the mice! After that I have Chinese!

Homecoming!!!!

I know this has nothing to do with pointe, but I want to talk about Homecoming week.     Monday is Pajama Day. Tuesday is Colllege day and if you want to wear hats you have to pay a dollar. Wednesday is Crazy Sock Day and if you want to wear duct tape it is a dollar. Thursday is LAKER DAY! GO LAKERS! and if you want to have electronics out during break you have to pay a dollar.

Party Children Practice

We had party practice Tuesday night. I am like a tower to the other kids, which is weird because I am short for twelve. I am the oldest one. The boys were acting goofy, so it didn't go so well.

The Nutcracker: My Journal Entry

I was in The Nutcracker in 2005. I was a snow page. This year I am a soldier, a party girl and a Chinese person. I will enjoy it! The shows are Dec. 3, 4, 11, 12, I think.

Pointe

If you haven't noticed, all of my posts with the title "Pointe" will be about my pointe class. Today in pointe we learned another dance out of the Nutcracker called the Waltz of the Flowers. I am not a flower in The Nutcracker. I am like a substitute. All of the people in my class are flowers except for exception of three of us. The others are older.

Soldier and Chinese

We started practicing for the Nutcracker today. The soldier practice was during my tap/jazz class. I am really going to enjoy it! I am one of the two that brings out the cannon and one of the two that dies. Two other people carry me off. It's really fun! The Chinese practice was after the soldier practice. The Chinese dance is hard, but fun! There is only one part that I get stuck on. Kassidy and I will have really fun! Since we were little we always wanted to be the Chinese! Our dreams came true! It's hard to believe that 6 years ago when I was in the Nutcracker, Kassidy was a candy cane and I was a snow page. The Chinese dance will be fun and awesome! It's really fast! My party girl practice is next Tuesday.

The Meeting

The Nutcracker meeting was this afternoon. My soldier practices are all on Monday's becuase my tap class (which is on Monday's) are all soldiers. I have a Chinese practice tomorrow after tap. I have lots of practices but not too much. From tomorrow until December 11th, the Nutcracker starts and ends. A good three months. Everyone is welcome too come see the performance. There is only 4 shows so they will probably be sold out! Shows are December 3, 4, 10, 11. Saturday shows start at 7 and Sunday shows start at 2.

The Nutcracker

I'm so excited for the Nutcracker! I watched the video of it from back in 2005. In that year I was a snow page. I watched the parts I will be doing this year. I will like it so much!
 Practice should be starting soon. There is a meeting Sunday. I should know when practice starts then.

Pointe was okay yesterday, it's just like usual.

Pointe

Today was a good day at dance class. I also learned that also in the Nutcracker I am going to be a party girl. A party girl is one of the people that dance with Clara at her Christmas party. The party is at the beginning of the ballet.

What will I be talking about?

Pointe is ballet when you go up on your toes. I do this. I will share what I did in dance class. We are doing the Nutcracker this December and I will tell you how the practices and performances go. I am going to be a soldier and one of the Chinese people. I may be something else, too.
